3. Case studies and results

Where we describe past work, we describe what was built and what it did in that context. Those results depended on that client's data, systems, constraints and people. They are not a prediction of what a similar system would do for you, and we make no guarantee of any particular business outcome.

4. What AI systems can and cannot be relied on for

AI systems are probabilistic. A system that is correct on almost every input can still be wrong on the next one, and a system that behaved well at release can drift as data and usage change. This is a property of the technology, not a defect we can remove.

For that reason we design systems with defined decision boundaries, human accountability, monitoring and audit trails, and we will say plainly when a use case should not be automated. See AI Ethics & Transparency.

Outputs of any AI system, including systems we build, should be treated as input to a decision rather than as the decision wherever the consequences of an error are material. Where a system makes decisions without a person in the loop, that boundary is defined and agreed in writing before it is built.

5. Third-party technology

Our work builds on third-party models, cloud platforms and open-source libraries. Their behaviour, availability, pricing and terms are outside our control and may change. We name the dependencies of an architecture before it is built so that risk is visible and owned.
